Where to set DebugEchoMode?

I'm having an issue where the Player can hear their own voice- My issue sounds like the problem in this thread forum.photonengine.com/discussion/8125/photon-voice-playback The user is told to "PhotonVoiceNetwork.Client.DebugEchoMode property set to false"

Where do we set that? When I access PhotonVoiceNetwork.Client. I don't have DebugEchoMode- I have PhotonVoiceNetwork.Client.SetDebugEchoMode and I don't know how to use it as it doesn't accept a bool-

Would appreciate any help- thank you.

Hey,

I just updated my project to Unity 2017.1.0f3 and Photon to 1.85.
Tried to import the latest version of Photon Voice from the assetstore, 1.11.

After importing, I'm getting 2 errors:
1) Assets/PUNVoice/Scripts/PhotonVoiceRecorder.cs(11,2): error CS1614: 'HelpURL' is ambiguous between 'HelpURL' and 'HelpURLAttribute'. Use either ' @HelpURL' or 'HelpURLAttribute'
2) Assets/PUNVoice/Scripts/PhotonVoiceRecorder.cs(9,2): error CS1614: 'HelpURL' is ambiguous between 'HelpURL' and 'HelpURLAttribute'. Use either ' @HelpURL' or 'HelpURLAttribute'

Cheers,
Frosty

Hi there,

Im getting 2 errors when try to build for UWP.

Assets\Plugins\PhotonVoiceApi\Core\AudioUtil.cs(560,61): error CS0234: The type or namespace name 'Timers' does not exist in the namespace 'System' (are you missing an assembly reference?)

Assets\Plugins\PhotonVoiceApi\Core\AudioUtil.cs(543,20): error CS0234: The type or namespace name 'Timers' does not exist in the namespace 'System' (are you missing an assembly reference?)

I created a new proyect in Unity 2017.2.0f3
Imported Photon PUN+ 1.87
Imported Photon Voice 1.13
Changed to UWP
Changed the Scripting Backend to .NET
Activate Capabilities for Microphone, InternetClient, InternetClientServer, PrivateNetworkClientServer

In unity editor works great but when I try to build the solution, I get those errors.

Thanks!

How can I access the audio clip created by PhotonVoiceRecorder and PhotonVoiceSpeaker ?

1st of all, congrats on PUN Voice :D it works great. I have good comms going in my project.

But now, I want to save communication records between players on disk. I already have a script that works fine in saving any audio clip. I cannot seem to find the right way to access the audio clip that is being created by these two components PhotonVoiceRecorder and PhotonVoiceSpeaker.
The audio source of each player (except the local one) always points to a clip called AudioStreamPlayer and that always sets the clip length to 1.12 seconds, not recording the full transmission.

Is this possible at all or I should use a totally different approach ? Ex: Not trying to save the audio clip but instead somehow save the AudioStream created by the voices ?

Thanks alot for the help.

DivideByZeroException PhotonVoice v1.13 Unity (5.6.4f1) (Windows Standalone)

Sometimes photon voice (Unity) spam lots of errors per frame:
DivideByZeroException: Division by zero MicWrapper.Read (System.Single[] buffer) ExitGames.Client.Photon.Voice.BufferReaderPushAdapterAsyncPool`1[System.Single].Service (ExitGames.Client.Photon.Voice.LocalVoice localVoice) ExitGames.Client.Photon.Voice.LocalVoice.service () ExitGames.Client.Photon.Voice.VoiceClient.Service () ExitGames.Client.Photon.Voice.LoadBalancingFrontend.Service () PhotonVoiceNetwork.Update ()
This error has happened in the builded version, but once I've received it in editor. Unfortunately I could not reproduce this error, but it is very critical, since it is spamming a lot of messages.
Next thing which is missing, is disabling logging warnings from photon voice, which are annoyingly always spamming console (like mic sample rate or skipped frames).
And finally, in voice package is extremely missing namespace fix: http://forum.photonengine.com/discussion/9638/namespace-conflict-with-wwise-errorcode

We are using the latest holotool kit for unity 2017.2 which has to work with photon voice and networking. It shows conflicts for Newtonsoft.Json and Photon3Unity3.dll. Things worked well when we have deleted conflicting dll in the editor level, but we are unable to take the build.

Photon Voice and iphone

Hi

using 1.13 Photon Voice

I can see you have implemented the https://github.com/cbaltzer/UnitySpeakerFix

However we still get sound only from the iphone ear speaker (the one used when making or receiving a call) not the main speakers.

On older devices with plug in headphones sound is routed to the headphones when plugged in.

If using bluetooth headphones on newer devices the sound is not routed and the ear speaker (the one used when making or receiving a call) remains activated.

Help, what am I missing?

All fine on Android though

Cheers

Anyone else getting this error when they try to build their scene with Photon voice? Seems to be some issue with the opus_egpv.dll file.

I've tried it both in my project, attempting to build my main scene, and in a completely empty project with only Photon Voice, attempting to build their demo voice scene.

In both cases I'm unable to finish the build unless I delete the opus_egpv.dll file from the x86_64 folder.
When I do so, I'm able to run the game successfully for the first user. However, the game will crash for the second user as they try to join in. The second user's game crashes by freezing completely, requiring that I force exit it (this does not affect the first user).

I've tried this with both Unity 2017.3.0f3 and Unity 2017.2.0f3 to the same effect. I'm using the [currently] most recent version of Photon Voice, ver. 1.13 (released Nov 22, 2017). I am making a multiplayer VR game.

Testing both my app and the PUN Voice Demo there is heavy feedback when I build the scene and run it on both phone and unity editor as well as two phones. Am I build testing wrong? Or is something wonky going on with Unity and PUN Voice? Any help is appreciated, been stuck on this for a while.

Hey ppl,

I am looking for a solution to reroute the Photon voice Chat into Wwise so I can create some proper ducking and filtering of my SFX and Music. Is there a way to do this? It would help alot with handling a balanced Mix between Voice Chat and the rest of the game Audio. Im not the programmer btw :)

Im using Unity 2017.2 and Wwise 2016.2.4

Thx for replies.

Critical exception: "get_clip can only be called from the main thread" exception in Unity 2017.3

This is a bug that makes Photon Voice unusable in Unity 2017.3 (I recently upgraded from Unity 5.4 and haven't tested this with any version in between). I use the latest available Photon Voice: version 1.3

To reproduce simply use Photon Voice's demo scene (DemoVoice-Scene). Play with two players in the scene and start speaking in your microphone. The following error message appears:

get_clip can only be called from the main thread.
Constructors and field initializers will be executed from the loading thread when loading a scene.
Don't use this function in the constructor or field initializers, instead move initialization code to the Awake or Start function.

Please advise how to fix this, thanks!

is this even tested?

Hi

Ok, I've implemented Photon Voice on Unity and I must say, I seriously wonder if this package is even tested by photon. The list of bugs is ridiculous and I had to change so much code I doubt someone even tested this on real environment aside from a basic setup.

1) You can change whatever settings, it doesn't matter. It will go to the default values because the unity scripts has a onRuntimeLoad section that will create a singleton for you, before your code is even called. So it will be instantiated with all default values and ignore anything you place.

2) The push to talk examples are buggy. For instance they don't mention that you need to have photonview on objects even if you are not using it for anything. And that those photonview has to be synchronized even if you are not using the transform positions/rotations/scales, because otherwise the system doesn't know which player is talking.

3) UWP build is non existent. It uses speedxdsp.dll which is not clear if it's x86 or x64. If you try to create a master build it will fail. There is also no arm speexdsp.dll so basically you can only make a x64 build and hope it works.

4) Build and run for iPhone x... enjoy while all your sound goes into the headphones and nothing on the iPhone speakers. You won't hear any of your game sounds.

5) Build and run for mac, uwp, pc... you'll get conflict duplicated dlls. You have to manually fix all those because the package was setup wrong. On UWP it won't even try to compile because the script has code that doesn't run on UWP, you have to also manually go and fix those.

and the list goes on and on. I mean seriously. All I had to do was switch between platforms with the demos and try to build and run and you would get it to fail. It seems nobody even bothered to do that.

Hi, I am Using PUN and PUNVoice.

Some weird things happen when I try this one out. When I stop Unity Editor my Player Avatar is persist on scene ! So when I play the scene again there's 2 Player Avatar there. But one of them is not Controlled Locally. Whats happening ?

When I stop the Editor I added PhotonNetwork.Disconnect. the PunVoice is disconnected. but my PlayerAvatar is persist. after a while the PlayerAvatar Destroy themself. Why ? my playerTTL is 1000ms, RoomTTL is 3000ms. I replay the scene after 4 secs++ delay

GearVR Crash on PhotonNetwork.Instantiate while using Photon Voice

$

Hi,
I've had some problems with Photon Voice while using the GearVR. I load into the room and instantiate my player that has a Photon Voice Recorder attached to it as well as a Photon View that keeps track of the player's rotation. The game crashes and I end up back at the Oculus menus. I am connecting to my master room that was started by my PC in the editor which is broadcasting an audio track as I have no microphone. The build was working fine until I implemented Voice so I assume that must be the cause of the problem.
Annoying as it is difficult to debug the GearVR when the scene won't load to give me information and I dont have any issues with the same OVR prefabs in the editor.
